Kevin Trudeau is an author and infomercial host, who sells various programs that involve health, diet and financial freedom. And that, if you’re a discerning consumer, should scream “FRAUD” the second you look at him or his products.
His books claim that the government and various businesses are duping the American consumer, and that we are spending far more money on diets, health treatments, and financial situations than we need to. His books supposedly reveal great “secrets” that allow the average person to avoid all of the government and business “scams.”
In fact, it’s Trudeau himself who is the scammer. He’s been convicted of credit card theft and , been sued by the FTC in the case of some of his books, and operates under a lifetime ban on selling products via infomercial other than his books.
In 2011, he was fined over $35 million for violating that ban, but in 2013 he pleaded poverty and filed bankruptcy, all the while continuing to live an extravagant lifestyle. He was later charged with contempt of court.
“Free Money” They Don’t Want You To Know About
This is the title of one of Trudeau’s self-published books, which he hawks in late-night infomercials.
His book is mostly just a compilation of other information that you could easily find yourself on the web, for free, but Trudeau charges $30 plus S&H. If you really want to read it, you should buy it from Amazon for about $10.
The thing with Trudeau isn’t so much the expensive book, because that’s just the first step in the Trudeau master plan. You will then get aggressive sales pitches trying to get you to join his Global Information Network, which promises that if you join this community of “like-minded individuals”, you’ll be exposed to money-making and network opportunities.
Instead what you get is the hard-sell to get you to buy more product and upgrade your membership level in GIN, which can cost thousands of dollars.
Trudeau is taking advantage of one of the most vulnerable sectors of our population, the people who are in serious financial distress. These people tend to be desperate and to not always think clearly, and they are grabbing for a lifeline before they drown. Unfortunately Trudeau is not giving them one, he is selling them a very costly anchor.
Where you can Really get Free Money information – For Free
What Trudeau calls “free money” is better known as “unclaimed money: that is held by a government entity. It may have been lost old bank accounts, savings bonds that you forgot about, or a check that was never received. You can find this money on your own, easily. Trudeau also gives advice about finding and applying for government grants for various purposes – again, information you can easily find on the web for free.
And, there are many websites out there that provide helpful information about where and how to obtain grants. You can also discuss your search and application process at the Free Grants Community, where other people who are also looking for grants can share their tips and experience.
